The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide provides the patient with personal care assistance and home support in an effort to maintain a clean, safe environment for the elderly or convalescing patient thus allowing them to remain in their own home. CNAs and Home Health Aides work in patient homes and in facilities. CNAs and Home Health Aides possess the ability and willingness to interact with residents, family members, personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances. They regularly communicate with the medical staff, nursing personnel, and other units. CNAs and Home Health Aides function under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and the Scheduling Coordinator.
