Duties

  • Plan and implement engaging and educational activities and lessons
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
  • Communicate effectively with parents and co-workers
  • Observe and document children's progress and development
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom
  • Help each child reach developmental milestones

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • CPR/First Aid certification - if not completed, we will provide this training within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to pass a Background Check (Finger Print) and CPS (Child Protective Service) Check in VA or Out of State if less than 5 years

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in early childhood education or related field
  • Hold CDA or other associate's degree or higher
  • Current First Aid/CPR Certification
  • Current Medication Administration Training (MAT)
