Job Description

Description

The POST team is one of the main points of contact between Amazon and USPS, ensuring smooth processing and optimization of our final mile network. As a Program Manager, you will work autonomously to drive results, define long-term strategies to address systemic issues, make trade-offs between time/quality/resources, track trends across internal/external metrics to create action plans, work across multiple stakeholders for coordination and accountability and navigate through ambiguity to decide on the correct deliverables.

Key job responsibilities

  • Strategically analyze KPIs to develop targeted action plans aimed towards long-term defect reduction and use accessible resources to track milestones towards success
  • Develop and influence new ideas/approaches for enhancing the Amazon-USPS partnership in Final Mile delivery. Establishes procedures, plans, and practices which promote the adoption of innovative solutions and sustainability of desired results in complex last-mile logistics environments.
  • Demonstrate strong commitment towards shared goals and outcomes, ensuring completion within established time-frames. Drives and facilitates moderately complex projects focused on improving Final Mile efficiency.
  • Facilitates effective communication and cooperation between Amazon and USPS teams to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement in the Final Mile space.
  • Work autonomously in an ambiguous environment, seeking to understand business problems, automation limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions and reasons behind leadership decisions
  • Oversee gaps between teams, processes and systems, helping teams reduce exposure to classic failure modes (e.g., requirements not sufficiently understood or documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, long-term impact(s) from third-party solutions, insufficient stakeholder review, etc.)
  • Create strategic initiatives to mitigate customer service disruptions and safety escalations.
